A windy winter training session

Everyone’s new year wishes were answered as a hearty 20 knots blew through Palma bay on day 1. The forecast set to continue through the week provided an abundance of big smiles (and waves) on faces! Anticipation was high as to how the boat and crew would perform in polar opposite conditions and with a top speed of 23 knots (with the small kite and reef in the main) the team were yet again charged with the Ker’s potential. A high of 38knots saw day 3 cancelled with the rest of the week providing varied conditions to test the wardrobe of sails from Elvstrom. An exhilarating and fun week was had by all, leaving the team raring to get back on board for the first race...
