Round the Island Race

Lady Mariposa Racing were one of 1,533 teams entered for this years race, and were rated as the sixth fastest boat on the race course. Although this would be the fourth Round the Island race for the Lady Mariposa team, (with previous success in the Oyster 625, winning their class in 2013) this was the debut in the new Ker 46 and for the team aboard Lady Mariposa R.

LMR had a fun and eventful race, with big breeze and big waves to battle with around the back of the island, reaching 25 knots in boat speed. The Team worked hard to keep the pedal down throughout the 5 hour race, with a wealth of experienced teams racing alongside them.

LMR Finished, 7th in IRC 0, 12th in IRC, 10th in Line honours.

A fast and furious first Round the Island Race on the Ker 46. The confidence on board is definitely growing and as we pass the 6 month mark we look forward to the coming season with much enthusiasm.

The team will certainly be back next year to try and improve on their position!
